Save The Judge!

The word just came out from Lew Rockwell that Fox is cancelling the Judge Napolitano’s show, Freedom Watch. Lew provided this link to politely ask Fox to retain the program:

Irena Briganti, Senior Vice President
Media Relations
Phone: 212-301-3608
Fax: 212-819-0816
E-Mail: irena.briganti@foxnews.com

In the meantime watch this is a clip from Judge Napolitano’s Freedom Watch program where he interviews Mises Institute founder Lew Rockwell and Jason Hornberger from The Future of Freedom Foundation on the lack of differences between the Republicans and Democrats. The man pulls no punches.

I just placed a call to the above mentioned number and received the message that the mailbox is full.
That should indicate the anger of we viewers but we should not let up. Email is always available.

  • “Mitt Romney criticizes Obama for not immediately killing everybody in Iran”.
Thank you for showing me that the Mises Institute is whacked out.

    • Matt Harding

      Squire,

He’s paraphrasing Mitt’s position on Iran. From Mitt’s own mouth (a la ABC):

Does Iran Have Nukes? “Iran is making rapid headway toward its goal of obtaining nuclear weapons,” said Romney. “The greatest danger that America faces and the world faces is a nuclear Iran.”

Bomb Iran? ‘Ultimately, regime change is what’s going to be necessary,” says Romney, who believes both “covert and overt” actions should be used to stop Iran from developing nuclear weapons. He said the U.S. should develop military plans, though he hoped they were never put into effect. “But the Iranians will understand that we have prepared credible military options, that they’ll know there is a consequence of becoming nuclear.”

  • This news really bolsters the argument that Fox News is moving to the left – and will soon be mimicking MSNBC’s ratings.

  • Hans

If its failing ratings that would be one thing, if not then indeed, Chris, is right…

The Judge is brilliant and an arch Conservative! This would clearly be a deep blow to all who consider themselves to be Constitutionalists.

I no longer view Hacker News as reliable…

It is becoming increasingly obvious that those who dare to disagree with those who control our media do so at their own peril. Pat Buchanan dared to say that George W. Bush precipitated an American disaster, so MSNBC decided they no longer required his services. It did not help that his book spoke two obvious truths: America is in serious decline, and its demographic is changing rapidly toward a non-white society.
Judge Napolitano dares to speak what Fox News or Rupert Murdoch does not like to hear.

  • I’m going to guess here, but my bet is the decision to take him off had to do with low viewer numbers. He was on an off-channel, Fox Business News, not the main Fox News channel. Stossel is also on this same channel.

i like and admire the Judge, but if they remove Stossel i may actually cry.

on an unrelated topic, some well known bloggers have written some interesting things about the recent market for gasoline deliveries. this would fly in the face of my recent comments on the economy (and corporate earnings), and would fall more into line with Jeff and Doc’s recent comments.

interesting times indeed, i find this dichotomy fascinating and frankly, bizarre.

  • Matt Harding

I’m sure it has something to do with lower numbers, or maybe that’s just an excuse by the network to refine their “message”. The truth is often a tough sell. We’ll see if Stossel’s next.

  • Matt Harding

I wrote in. Thanks for the info.

  • dd: I agree w your comments. These dichotomies fit with von Mises’ insights. As Austrians know, there is not one national economy. The U.S. has more people than 30 Swedens. California has almost as many people as Spain and an economy 50% larger. A country and economy this immense always has too many moving parts to fully understand.
